More Farmers Wife

Here are the five Farmers Wife blocks I made this weekend. One of these blocks took significantly longer than the others to sew. I decided to paper piece for accuracy.

Guess which one it was?

This is the offender.
Notice anything?
That center needs to be reworked.
It took like 3 hours.
I may just live with it.

Lesson Learned:
Trust your piecing skills! You/I can do it!

Your blocks look really nice! I think it's such a charming book. Isn't it something how we can talk ourselves into things that end up making more work in the end. I've kicked myself a lot for things like that.

They're gorgeous! And the one that took so long -- I'm impressed! What's wrong with it? I think it looks great!

Beautiful blocks. I don't understand what the problem is with the one that took so long. It looks perfect to me.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

Lovely and don't worry in a quilt no one will notice! I have some blocks that I have tossed into my not happy pile too!

Your stitching and piecing are great. I know what you mean about the block. I spent most of my day making sure my machine was sewing 1/4" accurately. I'm tired of mishaped blocks. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

3 hours!! Oh my gosh, Jackie--I had no idea quilting took that much time... Probably the same way non-stitchers don't realize how much time stitching takes! I love them all--fun and festive!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving with your family :)

Good on you Jackie. I won't be repeating that block either if I decide to do more than the 111. Lovely

These look lovely! Don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure the block will work just fine when it's in the whole quilt.

They are lovely Jackie. I admire anyone who can quilt. I'd be so bad at it.

Woooo! I wouldn't know where to begin to make something like that. They are great! Even the 'offender'. :)

I love your new blocks. I think I wouldn't redo the one which isn't as perfect as the others. But it depends on how much you feel stressed by looking at it, lol.

Jackie I think your blocks look wonderful and the prints and colors are so neat. I really don't see an "offender".
