Halloween???

I know many stitchers are seasonal stitchers. I think I have my seasons mixed up! I started Jenny Bean Halloween last week while we were on vacation. I'm using the called for fabric and the limited edition thread pack for this project. The picture below isn't flattering at all as it was taken indoors after dark. I struggle with getting nice pictures of stitching - it's so difficult!
Jenny Bean Halloween Start 11/10
It's hard to believe that we'll celebrate Thanksgiving in the US on Thursday. Time has flown this year. Do you have special plans? My parents will be driving up and hopefully my sister will be coming with them. With my mother in law, we'll be a small gathering - just the 8 of us - but we'll enjoy spending the day together.

We're now in the holiday season where things get crazy. We don't have small children anymore but do like to have a traditional Christmas holiday with some surprises for all. We also have family in Austin and Phoenix with little ones and it's always exciting to get something special for them. There are generally two things that indicate how organized I am for the holidays. 1: Whether or not I get Christmas cards out and 2: Whether or not I make cookies from scratch. This year I hope to do both!

If I don't get a chance to post again this week, I wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

That's a pretty sampler regardless of the season.

Have a great Thanksgiving. And here's hoping for a lot of 'from scratch' cookies this year!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Jackie.

We're doing something a little different this year. Steve and I are running a 5K in the early morning. In the afternoon we're heading down to Disney's Wide World of Sports for a basketball tournament. Steve's undergrad college is playing.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, too. Don't worry about doing projects at the "wrong" time of year...I think it's an occupational hazard of quilting and stitching!!! LOL

Have a fun thanksgiving with your family, Jackie! My in-laws are coming in for the week. I'm looking forward to seeing them and having some down time with the family, too.

What Christmas cookies are you making?! I love to bake!

I love all the Jenny Beans, Jackie--have never stitched one, but they are "on my (way too long!) list."

With 23 people here for Thanksgiving, my week is going to be a crazy one...Once dinner is on the table I can sit down and relax!

Hope your family has a wonderful holiday :)

Awesome progress for only a weeks stitching!

I stitch so slowly my holidays are usually backwards!

Enjoy your sampler, and you have a head start for next Halloween! I think the year was going nice and slow until September rolled around, and then it seemed to zoom by. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

Ahhhh! I am enjoying catching back up on my favorite blogs! Love your vacation photos! My indicators of how excited I am for the Christmas season are 1.) how much decorating I do and 2.) how many gifts I make and/or plan ahead (verses the week before Christmas panic.) Unbelievably, I am actually way ahead on Christmas and even have the winter quilts up! I must be excited in spite of myself this year :o) Hmmmm... and you must be very excited about Halloween 2011....

The stitching is really cute. I need to start thinking about Christmas cards since ours all have to travel overseas.

I think Jenny Bean Halloween is a beautiful sampler regardless of the season. When I get mine finished, I plan to put it on my nightstand. Just in case DH kills me in the night or something, ROFLOL. ;) I AM kidding--about the killing part!

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Hope your Thanksgiving was very special. I mailed your surprise gift today...let me know when you get it so I know it's not lost in the mail. You are more organized than me. No Christmas cards ever get mailed anymore! Love your Halloween sampler...haven't even begun the one I wanted to do!!

Hi Jackie! How great to be able to visit with you again, finally back in blogland. I hope your Thanksgiving was warm and wonderful. And remember...you are not late for Halloween 2010, you are early for Halloween 2011. :-)

Thanks for your encouraging comments on TCC while we were moving. I appreciated it so much!
