Not much is going on at Chez Jackie's Stitches. I've been busy shopping for a business trip to Plano/Dallas next week. I'm taking a small stitching and knitting project with me but I'm unsure as to how much time I'll have. The work days will be long.
The camera I always carry in my purse is still missing.
I did manage to completely finish this block. The square on point in the corners were a pain to line up. It's not perfect but it's good enough and it's done.

Another beauty, Jackie! I think it looks perfect (to my non-quilter's eyes anyway!)...
Hope your business trip is successful and that you'll get at least a bit of time for yourself :)
Have a great trip to Dallas! If you weren't coming on business and I weren't in school, it sure would be fun to chat quilts over coffee!
Beautiful quilt block! Love all your stash too! Hope the business trip goes well.
I think your square on point came out perfectly fine. I always think there are one or two things that no matter how hard we try to get everything perfect just don't work out that way on a quilt. No one is going to notice in the long run.
Love all your new stash - and that owl is adorable on that quilt.
The block looks perfect to me. And that looks like great new stash too.
Hope your work trip isn't to tiring and travel safe.
Have a safe and productive trip. I love how you put those blocks on point in the corner of your quilt. I'll have to do that sometime.....nice look to it.
You've made such a pretty block. The cross-hatching is perfect! Well done. And you've made some nice acquisitions to add to your "someday" stash. I hope work isn't too burdensome while you're traveling. It's always nice to take a breather by visiting a quilt shop.
Pretty block! The first thing I thought when I saw it was that those on point corner squares would be tricky to line up. You did a beautiful job! You got some cute books and patterns. Lots of fun in your future. I hope you have a good business trip and are able to fit in a little down time with your projects.
Have fun on your trip! Love how your block turned out. Love all the new projects too.
oh la la, all the new patterns and such and schnibbles times two, woohoo.......have a safe trip
Your block is beautiful. And girl....you loaded up on stash didn't you. GREAT!! Stay cool in Texas...and have a safe trip!
Love love your block....and your patterns.
Hope you have a good trip. You've added some great looking books and patterns to your collection.
I think the block you finished is lovely.
Another beautiful quilt block Jackie and some lovely stash.
Hope your business trip goes well.
Guess what: I found my watch!!! Sorry I didn't find your camera next to it. Do ask Antonius ;o)
I have three of the items you got: The Schnibbles book (you'll love it), the owl pattern (bought it in the States) and the Reveille Schnibble pattern.
The other patterns look gorgeous too!
Have a lovely time in Dallas.
Your quilt block is beautiful! Nothing handmade is perfect, and to me that is what makes handmade so charming and appealing. Even though it looks pretty perfect!
Don't work too hard on your trip.
Love the sashing around your block! And what fun additions to your stash :o)
Your block is wonderful and you did a great job on the corner blocks! Hope your trip to Dallas is productive - both business and personal.
Your quilt block is beautiful and what lovely stash!!
Have a safe trip.
Have a safe business trip and I hope you get to have some fun as well.
Pretty square! I love the pockets to go pattern book :)
It sounds like we're alot alike. I have to have something to do or read along with me when I travel. I don't quite no what to do with myself if I don't. I just heard of Schnibbles the other week. You'll have to let me know how you like it. Have a great trip!
Have a great trip, Jackie! Wish I were going along so I could visit with my kids there. Beautiful block!
Love those books and patterns...some I have, and some are on my wish list!
Love that Jolene Star pattern. Very Cool.
I just love the owl and nine patch. I have a new nephew and I am thinking that would make a cute quilt for him.
Your block is very nice and even before I read your post, I was impressed with the border. Great job!
Love the flower block! The Jolene Star pattern looks interesting. I love quilts that aren't the normal rectangle shape.
Hope your business trip went well.
Your quilt block is just lovely!
