In my mind, this table runner is done 11 months ahead of schedule.
It's not wonky like it looks. The ground is a bit uneven. I have horrible problems getting true colors with photos taken indoors but I do need to find an alternative to the ground.
I actually started this on the 4th of July and realized that the kit didn't have backing fabric and I didn't already own something I liked. I finally made it to working on the binding last week. It's now hanging in the closet.
I sure love finishing projects ahead of schedule!

Ha ha! I LOVE that you decided to start this on the 4th of July! Sounds like just the thing I would do. I don't know how many Christmas projects I decided to start the day before Christmas. Oh well, as you say, now you are prepared 11 mths early. ;o)
Oh and I must say.... I just LOVE it! What a gorgeous, gorgeous runner. I love 4th of July quilty projects. Pity we don't have such a thing here in Australia. Actually, makes me think we could just as easily do something similar for Australia Day (26th Jan). Yeah, now you've got me thinking. Might have to hold off until the 25th Jan though, when I'm sure inspiration will strike. ;o)
Looks great! I like your strategy for finishing holiday projects. Even Christmas in July is a little too late for me!
That is a SUPER-looking runner!
It's gorgeous! The colors are wonderful. Maybe you could put a sheet under the piece so it's not directly on the ground? I know what you mean about getting accurate colors in a picture. It's really hard!
This is awesome!!!!! Now you are well prepared for July 4 next year~~~
I love it Jackie, very nice! And your grass...it's green!
Very cute --- you could probably put it out for Flag Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day ..... lots of good uses!
This early finish means you also have 11 months to plan the party to go with the table runner! Count me in!
Don't you love being ahead....Me too!! Love your table runner...It's way cute... Hugs
Way to go! I love this with the big stars in the center like that and even if it was wonky, I'd like that too. I'm a wonky kind of girl!
Jackie...nothing like getting a head start (ha!). Looks wonderful.
Ahead of schedule must be great - not a feeling I am familiar with I must admit.
Ahead of schedule is always good, lol. It's a great finish and you will enjoy putting it on your table next year.
That's a gorgeous finish. You can never be too early for piece like that! I wouldn't wait a whole year to show it off.
Oh my gosh! That is just sooooo adorable. Great job!!!
Hugs from Holland ~

purty and ahead of schedule, wow Jackie, i'm impressed.......and the runner is lovelerly......yes....that is a word
Love the binding!!
I love it...especially the bias stripe binding!
I absolutely love this Jackie! I think there are a lot of kits that don't have the backing and the binding. If it's a matter of cost, why don't they just add the difference in price and include the fabric? Seems like a no-brainer to me.
Now that's what I call way ahead on schedule! Very pretty stars!
Maybe try making the pictures on your outside table. That is what I do.
I love this, and won't it be fun to use next 4th of July! I think your photo is just beautiful. And, what a good attitude you have too!
So pretty! Great job!
Wow, beautiful runner. Wish I could finish things that far ahead :) I know you'll enjoy it for years to come.
Just beautiful - I love the fabrics you used. Great finish!!
Great runner! Looks like it was fun to make. I think you will have lots of opportunities to use it.
A beautiful finish, great job!!
This is a bright, cheery table runner. I love pattern, and it is great that you have it ready for next year!

Oh, Jackie..it's beautiful!
Beautiful runner! I like wonkier looking stars that look like the ones we used to draw when we were in school. Plus, they don't have to be "perfect" and they still look great.
That is really lovely, Jackie! Won't your table look super next July?
It's gorgeous and just think how well ahead you are for next year!
I find my photographs often come up the strangest shades at times especially when I'm taking pics of needlework fabric.
Hi Jackie! Just got back from the beach and am attempting to get caught up on my favorite blogs :)
Your patriotic table runner is great. I would use it this month, too--it is too pretty to store away for another year :)
Love it, head start on next year I'm going to use that one. LOL Very cute wall hanging.
Hey jackie - you've got Labor day coming up in a month - another patriotic holiday that you might can display your awesome runner. It turned out great! Enjoy it - Mel
I love it! And the striped binding is inspired!
Nice table runner and what a pleasure it will be next year to use during the summer. I like to put my stars and stripes out in early June and there they stay until Labor Day.
Great "early" finish Jackie....very nice table runner indeed!
Oh, this is so cute. I think it's great that you started working on it the 4th of July. Didn't it make you feel more patriotic? It looks great and yes, you are 11 months ahead for next year! Good job.
I love your attitude AND the table runner! That binding really sets the tone for the whole top. It just screams fun and summer to me! Great job!
Very cute, Jackie! I love how far ahead you're planning ;>) What about using it on Memorial Day, too?
Cheers!
Really really beautiful!
