I just started the second skein of Malbrigio. I know there is a formula for how long a scarf needs to be but I think I'll knit through the entire second skein.I have no idea who I'm giving this to or if I'm going to keep it for myself. I just knew I wanted to make it. Does anyone else start a project just because they want to make it but not sure who it's going to end up with?

I definitely do that. It's the creative experience I'm interested in. The completed item is almost secondary! :)Which seems odd to my friends that don't quilt or knit.
