Happy New Year?

Hello!  I certainly didn't mean to be away so long.  No excuses!  I have been stitching though.  I'll share with you what I stitched on Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow today.  I'm using the called for linen in 40 count and DMC (because there are 60ish colors in this one).

This is block 5.  Probably my least favorite block though I could not tell you why.   I apologize for the wrinkles.
More recently I've finished block 6.  This one went really fast for me.  I just love the spiders in this piece.  They really seem to add interest and capture my eye.  This block has one spider.  I stitched him very last.
Here is a picture of where Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow is to date.  I've taken to stitching the outline of the next block before I put this project away.  That's what you see happening in block 7.  I haven't started stitching the interior of the block and for now, I'm putting this one away.  I'll be happy I stitched the border already when I take it back out to work on.
I'm working on gathering my supplies for And They Sinned.  While I had almost everything threadwise in stash, I didn't have 3 skeins of Shutter Green, I had two.  So I ordered 3 more because I wanted to dye lot to be the same as this color is used in a very large area (the grass at the bottom).  I didn't expect such a significant difference in the colors.  They don't even look anywhere near the same color!  Better safe than sorry.  If anyone runs out of an older dye lot of Shutter Green, let me know!
I hoping to get back to posting on somewhat of a monthly schedule.  I enjoy the interactions and sometimes I just need to say more than Instagram allows.  Thank you for sticking with me during my silent periods.   You inspire me so much and I love visiting your blogs too if you have them!

Happy Spring!  May all your stitches be happy ones!

Hi Jackie! Good to see your new post! You have made super progress on Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow. I would have done the same thing with getting the next block outlined. Wow, what a difference in dye lots! I have some of the older dye lot if you are interested in it. Enjoy your week!

So good to see a new post from you, Jackie! I've missed you :) Your Autumn at HRH is growing nicely--having done the Christmas one, I know how much stitching is involved in these. I own that chart--not sure if I will ever get to it, though. I so admire you for tackling And They Sinned--that is quite an undertaking and I look forward to watching yours grow.

That is so frustrating about the dye lots in the Shutter Green! I have no LNS nearby so I have to order everything on line and I can't tell you how upsetting it is to have very mismatched colors in overdyeds. Yours are hugely different, though!

Hope to see you back again monthly--I'm still hanging in there with two posts a month as I love having a more detailed record of my stitching, travels, baking, etc. :) Happy April, Jackie ♥

Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow is looking great, love all of the colors in this one.
And They Sinned is another great piece.
Yes! Dye lots do differ......a lot!
Aren't you glad you ordered more?
Have a great week!

Oh your Autumn at Hawk Run has me reminiscing about stitching! It's gorgeous! I'm pretty sure I have that one all kitted up and ready to go. Love the colors, and I never notice the spiders. That's fun! As for the shutter green -- ugh! That is a huge pet peeve of mine. Hope the color is good for your ATS. It's a fun piece to stitch!

Hi....welcome back! Your Autumn Hawk Run Hollow is stunning....love it! I really don't love spiders, but they are a part of God's world, aren't they?
The change in the color of the floss is amazing...you were so smart to order a sufficient amount to replace the other floss...just in case....and you were right!

Hi Jackie - I can't believe you've been away from blogland so long - WOW - time does fly and seeing your Autumn at HRH makes me realize how long you have been away. You've been flying on this. ATS - WOW - YGG - I had someone who wanted to buy mine and I couldn't find the dang thing. I'm trying to keep up at least once a month and you know I don't do Instagram. I still love reading blogs. Happy April - Mel

Your Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow is gorgeous!! I haven't gotten brave enough to tackle such a stitch heavy project but they are tempting. I can't believe how different those 4 Shutter Greens are!! I don't have an store nearby and have to order on line, It would be so much nicer to be able and go and pick them out.

I tried Instagram but I much prefer reading blogs!! So happy to see your post! Mary

Thank you for sharing - I also have ATS and have not done 1 stitch!
I know you will be an inspiration as I am slow as molasses and need motivation.
Best wishes, Mimi
