I finished the hat I was knitting for Jake! It needs to be blocked. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out and better yet, I know he'll use it.
Skull Hat by Gina Doherty - Pattern is Free
Yarn Cascade Superwash
Needle Size 7 or 8 (I can't remember!)
I haven't started another knitting project as yet but I have one in mind. We had the carpet in our bedrooms replaced today and the house looks like a bomb went off. We had to empty closets. Including my sewing room closet. I don't think I'll be doing much with any kind of needle this weekend as a result. The men in my life also now think I have a "lot of stuff" because it's all been sitting in the living room. If they only knew I was an amateur!

That hat for Jake turned out Awesome! Just love the design of this. Very cool indeed.
Love that hat!! Fantastic! Bummer about the state of your house. I hope putting things back doesn't take too long.
What a fun looking hat you made! I love knitting, but haven't had a chance picking up the needles lately under this summer heat wave.
Very cool hat! I am sure that Jake will love it.
Too funny! I don't envy you having to put everything back though, but congratulations on getting new carpet! Your hat is wonderful...perfect color for the perfect design.
Great hat!
What a wonderful hat!! Good luck with the carpet change~ it's no fun moving things around, but I think it will be worth it in the end~
A real man's hat. Love it.
Good luck with getting your home back to normal.

That hat is really cool Jackie! I bet Jake loves it.
Very cool hat for Jake
Love that hat and so would my hubby! I bet Jake will love it too!! Sorry to hear about your house and your sewing room. Men don't understand our stuff lol!!
Don't you hate being "found out" on the stash/projects front? It's even worse when you move and you're told, "Two-thirds of the moving truck is YOUR stuff!" I really, really tried to give away and pare down...
Jake will love his new hat and you will be satisfied knowing a project is being put to good use..
Whew!! You've got some work ahead of you putting everything back after the carpet is installed... nothing like a little impromtu cleaning/organization time!
Oh, wow, Jackie! What a fantastic hat!!
It's gorgeous - congrats!
Great hat :-) You will be so happy with your new carpet when everything is back where it belongs. New carpet is one of those "it gets worse before it gets better" type of situations I think.
Great hat for a guy! Good job on that two-color design thing.
It looks GREAT! Awesome job!!
Such a cool hat--I know Jake will be proud to wear his one of a kind creation :)

Very cool, I know my boys would approve!
Cool hat! I'm sure Jake will love it!
I need to show this pattern to my mother as my brother loves anything with skulls on it.

My 19 year old totally wants one of these! Cool!!
If he DOESN'T love it, send it to me and I will be appropriately appreciative. =) Maybe it will intimidate these guys from India I'm trying to wrangle. RAR!!
