I had a great weekend and hope each of you did too. I didn't get much sewing done but I did get my bee block sewn. My bee mate asked that each block have a theme. I don't have much in the way of themed fabrics so I picked this color palette as my representation of a Florida sunset.
I also got my Cotton Club blocks from last month completed plus one of the blocks from the month I skipped. The block on the lower left gave me fits - I'll end up playing around with that one some more. It's not as wonky as it looks in the picture but it needs some work. The blocks seem to be getting less simple each month. Just a few months to go and then we'll be ready to start assembly. I'm sure I'll end up lagging behind when it comes to assembly.
I'm so looking forward to Memorial Day weekend. I just need an extra day off, you know?

Wow, everything looks great! I really like your bee block -- so colorful!
All your blocks look great. I know what you mean about the Cotton Club blocks being a little harder each time to piece together. I just cut out those blocks today and hope to get them put together. I'm two months behind in sewing.
All the block look wonderful.
Wow Jackie, they look great!
Florida sunset - I see it! WOW you did an amazing job selecting the fabrics for this. The rest of your blocks look fantastic. Looking forward to seeing what you create on Memorial Day weekend!

Oh, I love your modern Florida sunset block! It's gorgeous! I'm glad you found sewing time. My life has been a wee bit topsy-turvy these days, but most of it is in a good way. Just overwhelming. Happily, I'm in Florida now too!

Hello
Your quilting looks lovely.
Happy stitching!
Clever idea to use your orange and yellows as a sunshine theme. Made a nice block.
A lot of little pieces to put together for the Cotton Club. I think that would drive me crazy, but yours all look really great.
And couldn't we all use a long weekend!
Oh, I well remember those stunning sunsets from the balcony of my parents' FL condo, Jackie, and those colors are perfect!
Everything looks wonderful--enjoy your extra day off :)
Oh Jackie, what awesomeness!!! Great piecing and super fabrics for the bee block. Dig that a whole lot.
Your Florida sunset fabrics are gorgeous, since I've been to Florida, I really see it in those fabrics. Your other blocks are fabulous, don't be so hard on yourself. You always do beautiful work and your fabric choices are always so beautiful!! Hugs!!

I just love the colours you picked to represent the sunset! How fun!
Hey Jackie, love your sunset colors on your block. Those cotton club blocks remind me of my Dear Jane blocks. I can only work a few at a time then I have to put them up. Yours look great.
More lovely blocks ...
Hope you enjoy that extra day off this Memorial Day weekend! Take care and have fun!!
