Joining In...

...on the Farmers Wife! I've been reading blog posts about this, have seen pictures pop up on Flickr and can no longer resist. My first two blocks are below:
Farmers Wife - the beginning
I'm using Ruby along with some Bliss. Both are by Bonnie and Camille. Throwing in a couple of solids (that bright blue is coming out) and other bits and pieces as I go along.
Fabric for the Farmers Wife
This quilt will be a loooong term project. Stayed tuned for more and wishing you happy stitches!

Welcome to the club! My Farmer's Wife quilt is going to be a very very long project. Just a filler between projects or when I want a change of pace. I think your fabric choice will make an amazing quilt. Great start, I look forward to seeing more blocks. It was Camille's FW blocks that pulled me in, they were just too cute to resist.

Oh, I'm so excited to see that you're starting this quilt. You will become addicted to this. And yes, it will be a long project, but so worth it in the end. I love your fabric selections! But why take out the bright blue? There are so many blocks in this thing that you will probably love it mixed in with all the rest!

It is going to look great! I love the fabrics you've chosen! Did you buy the Bliss recently, or is it something you have had in your stash? I've been looking for some, but haven't found it anywhere. I'm working on a project with Ruby right now. Your blocks look wonderful :-)
