Cheddar Anyone?

I have another Jo Morton's Little Women Club finish to share with you today. This is the first time I've used a cheddar colored fabric and I like it. I don't know the exact measurement of the finished quilt but if I remember correctly, the blocks in the center finish at 3". I've had the top assembled for a bit but just got around to the quilting.

Jo Morton's Little Women Club Project
My LQS isn't renewing this club on their schedule. Our instructor, Jan Vaine, is teaching Prairie Women Sewing Circle at another LQS and I'll be joining them. I hope I'll enjoy this group as much as I did the Jo's group. I've learned so much from Jan and we're so fortunate to have a published author as our instructor.

We're experiencing fall like weather this week in Florida. Our temperatures will be in the low 80's this week and there has been a break in the humidity. The weatherman said that this morning we're experiencing December weather. I'll take it! We even had the windows open for a few hours yesterday. It's hard to believe it's October already and that the holiday season is quickly approaching.

I have a knitting finish but the project isn't blocked yet and I hope to have a AotH block finish soon. I've picked a BIG knitting project back up again and I might have that finished in the next month or so. It's going to be a bear to block it's so large. I'll hopefully have pictures of the shawl for you in the next couple of weeks - there are a lot of activities over the next few weekends for me. Thankfully, next weekend is a 3 day one for me due to Columbus Day. I hope each of you have a great week and I hope your stitches be happy ones!

I love your little quilt! I'm in a Jo Morton class also, but have missed a few. I used the same fabric that's in your border on one and love it. I got some cheddar about a year ago. Before that, I really didn't like it, but I kept seeing in in things and it grew on me. Now, it's a favorite!

Your quilt is gorgeous! Just lovely! Did you machine quilt it? Or hand quilt? Cheddar is so much fun in a quilt, don't you think? I hope the new club is as much fun for you. You're definitely lucky to have a published author to teach you!

What a pretty finish! Isn't it nice that you can make a quilt and learn from an experienced quilter at the same time? Continue to enjoy your knowledge-building journey.

Your quilt is really nice. I keep seeing things I love with cheddar colored fabric in them, but I don't even have any cheddar...guess I need to work on that, huh? :)

Your quilt is beautiful! I've never worked with cheddar colored fabric before either but I like the way yours looks.

I'm loving this cooler weather! It's nice to wake up to the cooler temps.

Beautiful piece! We're getting fall-like weather too, but in our case it's 40's and 50's, not a beautiful 80. Too weird for this time of year in DC.

We are experiencing summer weather here, even though it is autumn. Very unusual, but nice, after a gloomy summer (o:

This is the second LQS that I've heard is not renewing their Jo Morton club, I wonder what's up with that. I love following the projects that her clubs make. I've bought some cheddar fabric and am eager to use it, love it in your Amy's Choice.

Gorgeous finish, Jackie! Perfect fall colors... Speaking of fall, boy would I like some of your weather right now. We just got done with one of the most miserable weekends I can remember -- highs in the low 40s and rain the whole time... This is more like the end of November weather for us! Please send us some of your sunshine :)

Love that quilt! Haven't heard of a club like that around here. Temps are changing here in TN and I was thinking this weekend that I should pull out my knitting bag.
Keep up the great work!

3 inches is a tiny block and yours look marvelous. I read through several of your posts this evening as I have gotten behind in my reading. Love all the projects you have on-going, especially that cotton BOM.

Your quilt is beautiful Jackie.

We had high temps for a few days and the 1st October saw record breaking temperatures here. Some parts of the country had 29.5 degrees. SO glad we live on the east coast and it wasn't that hot as it too hot anyway! I'm glad we're heading for lower temps!
