I seem to be having a lack of focus these days. I'm working on a little bit of everything and not getting much accomplished on any one project. I ripped out my most recent knitting project completely and started over (I was pretty close to being finished with it). Worked on 3 stitching projects. I also worked on two different quilting projects that I think will never be finished. Here are the latest two blocks from my Stitchers Garden quilt. The pink flower was supposed to have ribbon on the petals but I didn't like it so I ripped it out. Ripping blanket stitch isn't fun. On the block to the right the wavy part of the flower is rick rack which I enjoyed. I'd love to use it again in another quilt.
Please enjoy your weekend and Happy Stitches!

Love those blocks. The rick rack worked out great. I sure get that focus thing! Sorry you've spent so much time un-doing what you've done, but you have to go with what feels right.
I can identify with the ripping out knitting!!! I've done more ripping out than getting done!
Those blocks are beautiful. Beautiful enough to frame as a matter of fact.
Your flower blocks are adorable. I think we all get this "focus problem" at times. It comes and it goes. You'll be finishing some projects before long, I'm sure.
I've been doing a lot to ripping myself!!! But these blocks turned out gorgeous!!!! That rick rack works perfectly here~~
oh c'est absolument merveilleux !
quel talent
bon week end à vous mon amie

Unsewing is no fun, but the good part is thinking that this way you'll end up with something you are happy with!
I love both flower blocks--especially that pretty pinkish one! Good luck with the finishing this weekend...
You sound just like me, Jackie--talk about unfocused! Do we have adult ADD? I feel like I didn't accomplish anything this week :(
Jackie, you have no idea how much I can refer to this. When there is some uninterrupted spare time ahead I never know what to concentrate on - stitching, reading, sewing, gardening? So I try to do each of them and of course I never get far, lol.
These flower blocks are so beautiful. Perfectly finished.
Oh, I sure understand about undoing and redoing! Quite a bit of that has been going on at my house lately, so it sure doesn't seem like progress is being made. I'm sorry to hear it's happening there in Florida too! Let's blame it on the weather. Here's it has been cool, overcast, and dull. It's even a bit misty-foggy here this morning. Sounds like perfect weather for unstitching, or reknitting, as the case may be. Hang in there!
I know what you're saying about a lack of focus. I have it all the time. I think that it comes from just liking too many things, but there is nothing wrong with that. Except ripping out almost an entire knitting project! UGH.
I really love your quilt blocks and that ric rac look likes fun to work with. You so some very nice work!
Ripping blanket stitch definitely doesn't sound like fun! And ripping a whole knitting piece apart when it's almost done? Ack! But those blocks are beautiful!
I hate ripping out especially blanket stitching. I so love your latest projects....
Good Job on the floral blocks. I like the stitching around the leaves on the left flower and the rick rack really adds interest. I understand the lack of focus, sometimes we need a little break.
I love your quilt blocks Jackie! They just say Spring. Don't you enjoy ric rac? It's such a fun trim!
The rick rack and the buttons are so cute!! What great wall hangings!
Ouch! "frog" stitching is certainly not fun BUT your blocks are gorgeous!
Sending you best wishes for a finish
They turned out just great!
Wonderful blocks! Love the ric rac on the flower but the one on the left is my favorite.
Love the Stitchers Garden :-)
Your quilt blocks are really pretty.
I love these quilt blocks!! Colors, layout, everything.
Love the blocks and I especially love how the rick rack looks. That is so nice!!! I hate when I go througha spell that I seem to jump from one thing to another and feel like you're getting nowhere with anyone of them. Hope you feel more settled soon!
Love your blocks, Jackie. I totally get it about the ripping out in knitting....arrgh!
Your quilt blocks are fantastic!!
I hear you on the lack of focus. I am SO wanting to pull out my hexagons again--I even have the needle threaded and ready to go--but am afraid to take my focus off my stitching as I want to do a lot of that. I suppose it's a good thing, though--better to have too many things to entertain you than not enough, right??
Beautiful work!
I do know what you mean about focus... Your blocks are beautiful!
I love those flowers! Whimisically fun! Can't wait to see more!
