This weekend I put the last stitch in the binding of this quilt. This is the 2nd quilt I pieced and is the first bed size quilt that I have finished. I was originally going to use a green fabric for the binding but decided to use the same brown as the backing fabric.
Our temperatures are back into the high 80's this week. I'm glad this quilt is finished in time for the cooler temperatures that are hopefully on their way. Greg and I are both tall so we'll probably use this as a lap quilt. Perfect for snuggling!

Wow, all that hard work sure did pay off! I love how the blocks of colors work together in the quilt. Man you make me want to blow the dust off my machine! Seriously 2011 here I come to make my first quilt better. I made a quilt, but when I put the layers together it bunched up, it is sitting in my closet waiting for a repair! You are inspiring and I will take your advice and take a class!
