Update!

I finally finished the next page of my Quakers and Quilts chart. I love the star but I dislike the 1/4 stitches! It sloooowed me way down. I was surprised that I didn't mind the back stitching. Of course, there is quite a bit of back stitching in the bottom half of this chart so I might change my mind on that later on.

In my last post, I showed you my homework for a class I was taking. During class last night , this is what my homework looked like. I'm hoping to have more pictures for you soon. Keep in mind that "soon" for me and most other people is not the same! It was a fun class and I was surprised that I completed more than the other students. That has *never happened* before.

I'm feeling a little itchy....dare I hope that I might be getting a bit of my mojo back?!!!

Your class project looks really interesting! As for the cross-stitch, I can recall I wasn't fond of quarter-stitches, either, but your star looks BEAUTIFUL!

That's a beautiful square on quaker and quilts.

Your cross stich project is pretty!

I can't wait to see more of your class, it looks very interesting, are those pieces the leftovers?

Have a great end of the week!

Q&Q looks great! Yea, 1/4 stitches are no fun but the effect is worth it! Nie quilting too!

Your stitching looks fab. Hope to see it in person in a few weeks!
Oh, I know where your "homework" project is going. This is a very cool piecing technique. WHO thinks these things up??? My mom is always asking me that, and why isn't it me, she asks, making a ton of money off of a plastic template??? Hmmmmm . . . Guess I better get on that!

Your mojo seems to be returning. I just love your stitchery work. So nice and fine!
When I saw the fabric, I thought, what is she going to make with those squares are small strips between them. But then I saw that you dit some special cutting. Looks great, Jackie!

Lovely progress on Quaker and Quilts. That's a very nice block with hmmm, quite a lot of backstitching. I don't like backstitching either but on some designs it's interesting to see how the motives come into shape through it.

Your homework looks as though it was fun.

The x-stitch looks great. I like back stitching when it's used correctly and makes the designs so much more vivid!

That piecing looks very complex. Cool that you won the race!

YAY--glad the old mojo seems to be returning, Jackie. I'll bet with the cooler temperatures of fall approaching, you'll be full of creative energy.

Both your stitching and quilting look great. I do love your fabrics in the quilt--such fun!

I love your stitched piece...are you using the Valdani threads? I have some but haven't used them yet...can't wait to stitch with them though.

Oh my goodness, I just love the Quakers and Quilts chart. It's looking so beautiful. I can't wait to see it finished. Oh, I wish you hadn't shared it (not really ;o)). I am sorely tempted to rush out and buy it. Hmmm, I need to go out for the day. I'll have a good think about it. I have SOOOO many charts that I will probably never get to. (sigh). Still, I just LOVE this one. (grin)

Jackie Q&Q is looking great - Each little section you finish is like a triumph - that is what I like about quaker samplers. Love the fabrics you showed in your class project - those are MY colors. See you soon! Mel

Wow, love both pieces. I agree that 1/4 stitches are slow, but when the backstitching is in they really lend to the detail! The quilt is going to be amazing, I can't wait to see more.
