Taking a Look Back

There is a reason I'm posting an unflattering picture of what I see when I look down at myself behind the wheel of my Honda Pilot. This year my weight loss has stalled after 2 years on Weight Watchers. When I saw this view of myself, I remembered when we bought this car. My stomach touched the steering wheel! Look at all the room I have now!

Lesson Learned: Sometimes we're so busy looking forward that we forget to appreciate where we are at this very moment. It may be better than you think!
Not a lot of sewing going on. I went to the tote bag sale at my favorite LQS yesterday and thought I was picking out a few pieces of fabric that would go well with some reds I had at home. What I picked out was all wrong. Then I noticed that when I put the fabric up against the muslin I was going to also use, the muslin looked yellowish. So back to the drawing board with this one.
I guess this is one way to acquire stash, huh?!

Congrats on the weight loss! I acquired my stash the same way. The fabrics are pretty and I am sure you will find the perfect project for them.

Good for you Jackie! I'm on my own weight loss journey. I finally got to the point in my life that I am absolutely sick of being fat. I am going to knit that Alice Starmore sweater St. Brigid, just so I have something to look forward to when I am thin.

Congratulations on your wonderful weight loss progress. Instead of thinking about stalling, think of how you've maintained what you've done!

Wow, well done on the weight loss. That's something I must get started on tomorrow (which never comes). I love the red fabrics and if they don't work for the project you planned, well hey, you could start planning another quilt! (gg)

Congratulations on your weight loss! I have been trying to lose some but only a few pounds so far but I feel much better from the exercises.

I like your red new fabrics! keep them in your stash. Sometimes I just buy fabrics and then I found out they go with other fabrics in my stash.

I have not done much sewing lately either! Enjoy this time of the year!

Wow - I would be very proud of myself, Jackie! Good things take time - just keep that in mind! Yes - you've found the best way there is to stash-build - LOL!
Cheers!

Way to go Jackie! This red screams to me - I need a chocolate kiss. What about throwing some brown against the red and muslin?

I am sure you will find something to do with your lovely red fabrics- maybe something patriotic with some navy blue and white?

Now those red/whites would really be something for my daughter. Poor her, I'm hardly into red.
