I sat down at the dining room table this morning to cut down and organize all my scraps. It sounded like more fun than it actually was. You know...spend a few minutes (snort) and cut into set widths and then one day you sit down and I could quickly put together a scrappy quilt.
This doesn't look like much but it took most of the day. No actual sewing today. And I'm rather not inspired by the pile of blocks and strips.
The mailperson brought me a box today! At work, we have this thing called reward points. People give them to you and you can spend them. They're being phased out and we have to "spend" them all by the end of January. I decided I was going to buy books.
Bottom Up: Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts, Scraps and Shirttails, Knitting Without Tears, Seams to Me, Mindful Meandering, Creative Classics and Machine Quilting Made Easy.
I have another box on it's way and hopefully will be placing another order soon. I'm waitng for Knitted Lace of Estonia to become available again before I order.

Wow, you were busy today. I just did boring stuff like write a hand-off document.
Here I am trying to find places to put things and you're bringing the projects back out of closets. I need closets in which to put things. Can I borrow yours?
I admire all your hard work. And when you forget the pain of it (kinda like childbirth), you'll be very happy you've got all those nice little pieces cut out! Plus, I'm tres jealous of all the kewl books!!! :)
I know what it feels like ... Not inspiring at all for you. But once cleaned up and ready, you have space on your dining table, in the room and most important, in your mind!
Love the books you bought. I have seen the Seams to me quite and it looks so nice! Is it a good book? Good luck with finishing up ...
OooOooOo fun new books :) The hard part about organizing any kind of craft is the fact that there is never enough storage and it always ends up unorganized again.. ROFL!! Well at least it does for me anyway.. hehe!!
Looks like you really were having fun! Look at all those yummy fabrics!!! Can't wait to see what you make!
