It's FINALLY cool enough here in Florida for me to wear a pair of socks! Yipppeee! I started knitting in Janaury. By the time I got around to finishing a pair of socks it was just too darn hot to wear them! This morning was super cold (in the high 30's I think) and I got to wear these:
These are the first pair of socks I ever attempted to make. Just plain janes knit on DPNs. Nothing fancy at all. But warm. Soft. I didn't anticipate how good it would feel to wear them!
Everyone should have a pair of hand knit socks!

Your socks look fabulous!!! So when are you making your next pair???
You are inspiring me to start some socks...as soon as I can bend over to dig through my stash!
I'm impressed. I can crochet, but don't knit. Your quilting looks good too!
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Your socks are awesome! Here in Australia it is warming up for the summer and sadly no more knitting or crocheting. Thanks so much for your comments on my blog. I look forward to reading what you are creating.
Great socks! Nice colors. Glad I ran into you and your blog on Zaar! Adding you to my blog list as soon as I get off of here.
Not bad for your first pair of socks - they look tops - love the variagated colours - are they your feet??
I love your socks. They look so warm and toasty. I wish I could knit. But my hands just do not want to work like that.
thats amazing! i 'took up knitting' once, i bought those knitting things (long wooden sticks) and a bunch of pretty yarns, but I got about six inches into a scarf and made a mistake, so i took it all out and started over and got about five inches in and stopped. and there it has sat for, oh, five years. i wish i had the patience. if you have the patience to knit a pair of socks, you will DEFINITELY have the patience to perfect your free-motion stitching. good luck!
