Three Months?

I was so surprised to see that it's been over three months since I posted on my blog.  We can't have that!  Lots has been going on - vacation, work, blah, blah, blah.  Let's move on!

I did get just a little bit of needle oriented type stuff done.  This is little cardigan - I think it came out about a size 2T.  Yarn was the wrong weight so I knit the larger size on smaller needles with the intention of getting the small size.  It will fit some toddler one day!  Interesting construction.  I've never done a flat raglan (is that even the right term).  Regardless, it was new to me!

I've also made some progress of Anniversaries of the Heart by Blackbird Designs.  This is the final block.  I'm in the midst of planning all the personalizations and hope to stitch them soon.  Lots of trying to figure out placement and over 1.  I hope I can finish this up this year.  Who knows?  I have a block (March) that I'm pretty sure I don't have any family birthdays or anniversaries to honor so I need to figure that out too.   Not a great photo but you get the idea!

I hope you all are having a good week!  Even though I haven't been blogging, I have been reading blogs.  Thank you for the inspiration!

That little sweater is adorable! Love the color too! And I love your last Anniversaries of the Heart block. So so pretty! So exciting that you are to the personalization stage! It's hard to keep up with blogging, isn't it? I'm getting out of the habit!

That cardigan is just the cutest! What an interesting pattern. It's so different from what you usually see.

So cool to be on the last block for the quilt. That's a ton of pretty stitching.

My blog is whimpering too. I just seem to have lost interest in it.

That sweater is so sweet! As for your Anniversaries of the Heart - great job. I finished mine last year and had several months where I had no family events. I ended up adding little sayings like "Home is the nicest place" "Home Sweet Home" happy stitching!

So glad to see you posting again, Jackie--I thought we had lost you to the black hole of Facebook/Instagram :) Your cardigan is so beautiful and who knows, maybe you'll have a grandchild some day to gift it to!!

Way to go on the BBD piece--what a stunning piece that will be when you have all the personalizations finished!

Hope things are cooling off in FL and you're enjoying a lovely autumn!

your blog post made me think I needed to refresh my blog for fall and get in a post. LOVE your AoTH - it is so pretty, you are doing a great job and I know you will finish it this year. The baby cardi is darling - some lucky little girl will be happy to have it. I hope you have a great weekend ! Mel

I truly didn't think about the work you will put into designing anniversary dates etc. for your Blackbird piece. That is a huge undertaking not just planning it out, but then graphing it as well. It will be a beautiful memory piece when you are finished. It is lovely already...I love the entire piece. And your cute green yarn shrug is adorable. Some little girl will be a happy princess one day.

So nice to see you blogging again. And such wonderful things that you have accomplished during your blog pause. This little sweater is a dream and has a very interesting shape. Lucky little kid that will get it one day.
Congrats on continuing on your Anniversaries and getting so close to a finish. It's a big project but worth every stitch.
