Heritage Sampler

I hope you're having a great summer.  It's been hot here with a LOT of rain.  No water shortage here for sure.  Fall still feels like a long way off but I'm ready for it to cool down drastically.

I've been absent from the blog but I have been stitching!  I finished up Heritage Sampler from Plum Street Samplings.  I fell in love with this when I saw Paulette's video that explained what each quadrant meant and shared insights into her design process.  I really enjoyed stitching this and learned that when the designer suggests half crosses on certain over 1 sections that it a good idea to NOT decide to do full cross!

I'll be back soon with more!  I hope all your stitches are happy ones!

This looks so lovely. Must get mine out to start. :) All kitted up ready to stitch but have other stitching to finish first. Happy Stitching.

I love this piece so much! Congratulations on a beautiful finish! I don't know how, but I missed this one entirely until I saw you and maybe one other person stitching it. I didn't even realize that it was by Paulette. Guess I've lost touch with the stitching world. Ugh. Anyway, love the finish!

Jackie, you have been busy! This is a gorgeous stitch and I just love the border on this with the eagle at the top. I can see why this kept you so occupied, it must have been very rewarding to complete each section. It will be interesting to hear about her thought process in designing this, thanks for the link to the video.

Oh Jackie, this is such a gorgeous piece. I love all the details, particularly the ship with its passengers - or are they sailors?

Oh, how beautiful!! I bet it felt like each little block was a mini-finish. They are all so beautiful and that border is exceptional.

Hope the rain is letting up this week as my sister and her husband are in Daytona Beach checking on their condo (they purchased my parents' old place). Happy September, Jackie!
