It's time for the March Theme-a-Licious month end recap! Theme-a-Licious is hosted by Heather at It's Geek to Me. March's theme was March Madness which is defined as:
Stitch or knit on something different every day...it's madness...of the funnest possible kind.
A project every day is not my idea of fun - I'm a pretty monogamous stitcher. I did switch it up by stitching on 4 projects this month. Very unusual for me. Considering I'm in something of a creative slump-I'm happy with this!
I started Kelscott's Tombstone Angel. This is a small that is just a little bit away from having the stitching completed. I just couldn't eek out that last little bit.
I also started one of Blackbird Designs December Stockings. I have to admit, I find stitching with 2 threads on 30 count to not be quite as enjoyable. It's a cute stocking though and I'll be happy to have it completed. This one doesn't need much to finish the stitching either. Unfortunately, I managed to stitch just about everything but the stem twice I think!
I finished a block on Anniversaries of the Heart. This is block 6 and I had stitched about a quarter of it previously. I haven't personalized it yet and have those Lazy Daisy stitches left to add. I really like the bright green in this block. It looks so fresh.
Ann Dale - Oh Ann, how I loved you and how I hope I love you once again. I just need to figure you out. Or beat you into submission. I'm not sure which it's going to be yet. I pulled out the very top wave border and restitched it. Looking at it now I think I like it better the wrong way! I apologize about the creased linen but it's in keeping with what I feel about her right now.
The theme for April is Amazon April which is all about those BIG projects we have going. I'm sticking with AotH and Ann Dale because I don't have another big one in progress and don't plan on starting a new one. I don't get lots of stitching time and I'm traveling a week for work in April. I can't handle more than two BAPs!
I hope all your stitches have been happy ones!

Oh Goodness Jackie - I can't believe you pulled the whole border out!!! I haven't started mine, but I knw so many that did and were upset as to having to pull it out. With that said, it is a beautiful sampler though. And your other stitching looks great too.
I don't think that I could stitch a new project every day. I tried that for 15 days last year and failed miserably. But the fact that you did attempt it is a good thing with your four projects.
Great projects!
I love love your stitcheries!!
Your projects all look great! I think the March Madness theme would have driven me mad. lol! I think you did a great job and you did it your own way. I like your plan for April too. Your AotH and Ann Dale both look great. I hope Ann Dale gets easier to deal with -- let others take the lead and find the mistakes and you can follow along.
All four of your March Madness projects look great. I think you handled the challenge well... I can't even imagine starting something new each day. I hope you start to feel the love for Ann Dale again soon.
Great progress on your projects! I think you did great for March Madness! :)
Beautiful cross stitch projects you are working on!
Wonder how you will personlalize your Anniversaries of the Heart. Does each month have a space like that?
Much Much better Jackie! I do like the top border going the correct direction. I will work on Ann sometime this week. Your latest block is fabulous. Great progress!
Great stuff, and the AotH block is particularly charming. I like the border of Ann Dale better with the waves going in the same direction - but who am I to say anything, I'm not planning to stitch her in this life, lol.
Everything is looking really good. I hate large borders on stitching... I never get them right. In my case, I just leave in the imperfections. You are a very good girl to go through all that effort to get it perfect!
Love your projects, your a very busy lady! Thanks for taking time to visit my blog and leaving such a sweet message. Have a wonderful day. HUgs, Marie
I am pretty much a one project at a time type of stitcher, too, Jackie, so I'd have problems with March Madness :) But, you did a great job--I hope you can wrangle Ann and get her under control--all of your pieces look wonderful!
Well, congratulations! You got quite a bit done. And, it's all gorgeous btw.
lovely stitching!
I agree with the creative slump sentiemnt. I know I always get this way after I finish something big. Hopefully working on your 4 small projects got you interested again!
beautiful stitches !

Oh wow, you frogged that entire line of swoops? All your projects look awesome. I think those two will do you for Amazon April!
My gosh Jackie, your stitching is just gorgeous. You are so good at it and so patient to do it - I have no patience for it sadly. I admire the beautiful work you do.
What a cool post. Great to look at your stitching work and a great learning experience. I enjoy and appreciate how you shared the effort going on with your work here. It made it really feel all the more special. I have all the more admiration for the process. Again, great post. *karendianne.
Hi Jackie, Edgar at Blacksheep's Bit of the Web said to come over and visit you so here I am! Have enjoyed your beautiful stitching. I'm also stitching Ann Dale in a SAL with Attic Needlework (my first SAL). I've found this helps me keep peace with Ann! I can get my homework finished and still have time to stitch on another project or two before the next assignment. Good luck with her, I think she'll be worth our efforts!
That is March Madness! What great projects.....such beautiful stitching. You certainly have patience. Your Ann Dale looks great to me, but I know taking things out isn't fun. Boy, do I know!
Fantastic stitching Jackie. Love every single one of them.
Awesome progress ;)
Loving all the stitchin' progress...everything looks so lovely!
They all look lovely, great progress
Glad to shake up your routine at least a little. =) Everything looks lovely!
A different project every day, that is madness! I think your approach was more sane, plus you made great progress. Sorry to read about that stocking and all the restitching, some projects are just like that!
They all look great, lovely progress.
Juste un petit bisous de FRANCE
Beautiful stitching!
I have to admit that a project a day would do my head in. I'm a one project at a time kind of girl.
