Weekend Recap!

I'm back from my long weekend in Atlanta. I've even unpacked and put everything away. If I would not have done that immediately, I'd still be dealing with it for days. Teresa and I drove to Atlanta to spend some time with Jean, Jill and Heather and to attend Stitches South with them. We had a great time. We shopped and shopped, ate, talked, laughed and had a great time. Everyone got yarn. This is my pile:
I got enough yarn for years of projects at the rate I knit. The yarn is from Knitting Notions, Sanguine Gryphon, Madeline Tosh, Miss Babs, and Lisa Souza. I also purchased 2 wooden shawl pins and some patterns. I'm going to try to have one project completed from this yarn by Stitches South next year. I know I'll start one (or more) but I'm not taking bets on a finish.
We also got a chance to get our photo taken with the Ravelry creators and chat for a moment. If you knit and don't belong to Ravelry, you're really missing out. Sign up now!
Left to right: Teresa, Jill, Casey, Jean, Jess, Mary Heather, me, Sarah

I'd not met Heather and Jean before and they're just as nice as I thought they'd be. I'd met Jill before but it was really nice to get to know her a bit better. Jean's husband Richard took it all in stride. He and Jean were just wonderful hosts. They also introduced me to Big Bang Theory (which I'll be watching more of)!

We also went by Andy's house and looked at her beautiful stitching and her beautiful home. I missed getting any photos though. I met another new friend too - Princess Penny. Isn't she just adorable?! With those eyes, I think she deserves to get whatever she wants!

sounds like a blissful time in Atlanta - I was with you in spirit and having a mini shopping excursion of my own in Savannah and St Simons Island. We are now faithful followers of Big Bang since my weekend foray last year to Jean's house LOL - glad you had a good time and safe trip. Mel

mmm....all that luscious yarn you got...wow! Have you tried the Sanguine Gryphon before? I would love to know how you like it and how it compares to STR. Glad you had such a wonderful time! You unpacked really fast...it takes me a week, at least. I'm sure part of that is that I don't want to admit that I'm back at home! LOL
