Off the Needles!

I finished the hat I was knitting for Jake! It needs to be blocked. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out and better yet, I know he'll use it.

Skull Hat by Gina Doherty - Pattern is Free
Yarn Cascade Superwash
Needle Size 7 or 8 (I can't remember!)

I haven't started another knitting project as yet but I have one in mind. We had the carpet in our bedrooms replaced today and the house looks like a bomb went off. We had to empty closets. Including my sewing room closet. I don't think I'll be doing much with any kind of needle this weekend as a result. The men in my life also now think I have a "lot of stuff" because it's all been sitting in the living room. If they only knew I was an amateur!

What a fun looking hat you made! I love knitting, but haven't had a chance picking up the needles lately under this summer heat wave.

Too funny! I don't envy you having to put everything back though, but congratulations on getting new carpet! Your hat is wonderful...perfect color for the perfect design.

Don't you hate being "found out" on the stash/projects front? It's even worse when you move and you're told, "Two-thirds of the moving truck is YOUR stuff!" I really, really tried to give away and pare down...

Jake will love his new hat and you will be satisfied knowing a project is being put to good use..
Whew!! You've got some work ahead of you putting everything back after the carpet is installed... nothing like a little impromtu cleaning/organization time!

Great hat :-) You will be so happy with your new carpet when everything is back where it belongs. New carpet is one of those "it gets worse before it gets better" type of situations I think.

If he DOESN'T love it, send it to me and I will be appropriately appreciative. =) Maybe it will intimidate these guys from India I'm trying to wrangle. RAR!!
