Mail Call!

The mailman brought goodies on Monday. I received my package from the Heather Ross Studio Sale. This is a $25 package. I didn't expect the Flea Market Fancy nor did I expect a personalized print. We had no idea what we were going to get.

Then I got the Flea Market Fancy I purchased from the Lucy & Norman Destash! 21 fat eights of an out of print and hard to find fabric line.

There is very little sewing going on but I did finish my pieced block for October for the $5 Quilt. The center block has a little give in it but not enough to worry about. It will quilt out so it stays. Other than this block, I've pieced together a few background blocks for the applique on this same quilt. I'm behind and hoping to somewhat catch up. I must admit, I'm not feeling it now though so it's probably going to sit for a while.
October $5 Quilt Block 2010
I've been in more of a stitching mood lately. Our sampler guild met on Saturday - I didn't really get a lot done there but I've kept at it since then and I've made a lot of progress when you consider my normal stitching pace. I have 3 motifs left on Quakers and Quilts and my mind is already turning to the next project. No decisions yet.

Our weather has turned hot again. Almost hitting 90 today. I'm so ready for the cold weather to get here. I want open windows and fresh air! This weekend it's supposed to dip below 80 and I'm really looking forward to it.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I have a long list of blogs I follow and I rarely miss reading them. I'm always so interested and inspired by what everyone is doing. Bloggers are awesome in so many ways, I appreciate each of you! Happy Stitches!

Nice stash you got in the mail!! Love your $5 quilt block. I think the give is fine -- don't forget, it'll get all quilted in the end and it won't even show, I bet.

Glad you're getting in a stitchy mood! Isn't it awful when you are already thinking of the next project? lol! Can''t wait to see your Quakers and Quilts finish!

That flea market fancy fabric is wonderful! I can't wait to see what you'll make from it. We can send you some of our wind & cold if you'd like. On Monday it was 75, then yesterday & today major winds have blown in and colled us down to the 40's & 50's. We've had a beautiful fall and knew it couldn't last but did it really have to change so abruptly???

What great fabrics, Jackie! I just love browsing for and buying fabrics--think I inherited that from my mom :)

My parents headed back down to Daytona Beach today--please keep that warm weather going for their winter stay!

Love the star block! Very beautiful! I pulled out some bright dot fabric a couple weekends ago and started making up Jacobs Ladder blocks (black background). Soon I had two kids hoping for the quilt... guess that project just got a little bigger :o) Happy sewing!

Oooooo...you are so lucky to have found so many gorgeous, older fabrics! Especially the hard-to-find ones! Some of the older Amy Butler's (& Kaffe's) are the same way and it's such a thrill to find a piece!

I haven't been able to read all of my favorite blogs for awhile now since I didn't have a working computer so it will take me awhile to catch up - but you're the first on my list!!
