Final Recap

We took one class at Stitches South - Fiendishly Difficult Stitches. Here is Teresa's sample as I didn't finish my swag so my sample looks a bit weird. We learned to do this swag thing and this braid. The braid would look fantastic around the bottom of a hat.
Here is the picture I texted to my husband with the subject line "Day One Haul". After seeing this, he didn't say a word about the 19 skeins of yarn that actually made it home with me (not that he normally does but it was fun to mess with him). About half of this actually belongs to Jean - see her post here about what she got. She took a large bag on wheels the next day and filled it up.
This was my first fiber event and I must say I'm looking forward to another one!

Wow, that's a cool sampler you had to knit! And the stash -- you're so funny to send that pic to your hubby like that! lol! I went to a wool festival one year and boy, was it fun! Talk about stash! lol!

Never seen anything quite like that before. Very interesting knitting. I like the complex things.

Love your method of making 19 skeins seem like a pittance! ;-)

Wow, your work is amazing! Congratulations, that looks very complicated.

One time, when I was at quilt show, the credit card company called the house for "irregular large activity". My husband thought I maxed out our cards and was not happy. It was more about the out of town charges than the amount, so he settled down pretty quickly, and I changed our phone number on the credit card to my cell phone!

Man that does look fiendishly difficult! But very pretty. Last year I went to my first Stitches event. Boy was it insane, but awesome. What a way to mess with you hubby's mind! :o)

Looks like some retail therapy fun to me. Love that you like to mess with the hubs, I do stuff like that too, mine never says a word, thankfully. Love some of those bags full of purchases too!!

Wow, those stitches look so interesting! I hope you use them on something so I can ooh and aah over it! ;)

And LOL at the picture you sent your husband. I wish I would have thought of that when I went to Stitches West. We won't talk about Rhinebeck, though, as I do think I came back with that much.... oops!
