Saturday I had my second Stitcher's Garden class. We worked on block 2 and I finished it up at home. This months lesson was was edge/top stitching. We top stitched the semi-circles. This block also used some of our decorative stitches to for the applique. I used more blanket stitching that most of the other quilters but that is what I happen to like the best.
I'm still extremely tired and not 100% so there has been very little in the way of other activities. I did win another Advanced Reader Copy on Goodreads. The book I won is Hearts on a String by Kris Radish and it will be offered for sale in May. I hope to start this one soon. If you're on Goodreads, let me know as I'd love to send you a friend request.
I have a busy Saturday planned but I'm looking forward to the weekend! Happy Stitches!

How pretty is that block! Wow! I'm loving seeing everything you're learning in your class! And the advanced reader copy -- again! Cool! I still haven't joined over there. I really should! I hope you are feeling more yourself soon.

Sometimes these bodies just don't play nice. But at least you had the energy to finish a beautiful block. Fun to try new techniques.

That block is so perky. You did a very good job with it! Enjoy the book you have gotten to read. Do you then do a written review on it for them?

I'm glad you are feeling a little better. Keep on resting as much as you can and get back to 100%! The book sounds good. I was on Goodreads, as you know, but it kept sending emails to all on my contact list. Your block is amazing, as usual!!

I really like this block. It says "summer" all over it.
I've never heard of good reads, so I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the tip.

Another great block Jackie. I think that you're learning some great things with these blocks. I never really used anything more than buttonhole stitch on mine just because I was afraid of goofing them up. And I'm on Goodreads so please send me a friends request.

Glad to hear that you're beginning to feel better, Jackie. Could it be that cool FL weather? We just got home from Daytona Beach and Naples and it was warmer up here in Pittsburgh--crazy!! Love your new block--it is so springy looking...
