Derailed

I now know why I had the blahs last weekend. I was getting sick with bronchitis, a sinus infection and an ear infection. I missed several days of work and probably should have stayed home Friday as well. I didn't touch my computer for days but I did do a lot of reading when I wasn't sleeping. I'm feeling better but still very tired. The little I've done this weekend has totally worn me out so today is going to be a lazy day! Over a week ago, I did finish my 2nd applique block for the $5 Quilt one of my LQSs is offering. I'm enjoying it.
I'm behind on my sweater class progress but most everyone is. Hopefully I'll get far enough in the next week or so to take a picture of the pattern I selected to go next to the button band. I haven't picked up stitching in almost 2 weeks. I've frogged the area that needed to be frogged and had restitched the lettering but didn't get completely caught up. I'm really behind in my blog reading and hope to get that caught up this afternoon. I know all you guys have been up to some wonderful stuff!

We've entered one of my favorite times of the year. It's warm enough to have the windows open, the sun is shining, and the time has changed so we have long light filled days. This spring season in Florida is short and I enjoy second of it. We actually had to turn our A/C on Thursday because the humidity was so high it was making me cough so much. I'm hoping that since we had a much cooler than normal winter that we have a longer than normal spring. A girl can hope!

You poor thing Jackie, I sure hope you get to feeling better and get your energy back. I don't know about you but it's hell to be sick when spring rolls around. Your block looks beautiful and I can't wait to see your sweater. Take good care of yourself and be as lazy as you need to be to feel better soon.

Oh, I'm so sorry you were that sick! I've been there; done those ailments, so I completely sympathize with how terrible you've felt. No wonder you haven't been up to doing much! But golly, this block is so pretty. Very, very nice, Jackie. It will make into a lovely finished piece, however you complete it.

HI Jackie,

Good to hear from you! I wish you a speedy recovery!

I love your newest block! Great job! Love the design, is your LQS using a pattern?

Have a great week!

Sorry you have been feeling so rotten. It seems down here in Florida it is the time of year for sinus issues. The change of the weather and all the Pine trees seems to cause lots of troubles. So far we have been pretty lucky here. We usually all come down with something this time of year.

We turned our air on recently too. It is a bit cool out right now though. It won't be long for the heat of Summer to get here...

Oh, I am so sorry that you are feeling bad. I hope you are better soon. I love the block you appliqued. I have been thinking that I want to work on a quilt. Not so sure how it will go but I am inspired by your beautiful work.

Ooooh that sounds like what I have had. It's taking its time to leave too. Lovely quilt. x

You're not the only one with the bronchitis issues. I blame the pollen counts. I know it would be worse if I weren't taking a daily allergy med though.
The appliqué is lovely ;)
And I decided on a sweater pattern finally. Then Clone asked me to make one for her. I should start with hers first for practice - uses less yarn, smaller, and if I goof, it really won't matter as much because she's seven lol.

Love you applique square but sorry to hear about your not having been feeling well. Rest and drink tea is my motto when I am not feeling well. :-) It is still cold here but the sun is shining today. I am not a lover of heat and even your spring temperatures sound hot to me.

Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi
