Ideas Needed!

I have my table runner pieced together with my Gobble Gobble charm pack. The pattern took 16 light fabrics and that is exactly what was in the charm pack. It looks a little wonky on the edges but that it because the grass is a bit uneven where it's laying. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should quilt this? Suggestions are needed! Thank you!
I seriously love this fabric! I have no idea why, but I do!

If you like easy quilting, I would do diagonals through the large blocks starting at the corner and running to the opposite side, then again in the other direction so that each large block has a quilted x in it.

I love this fabric too......and what Betty said on the quilting...

I like how that turned out too...and I can see why you like the material...it is wonderful? Maybe quilt in the ditch?

If you are adventurous, I'd say to quilt a leaf-like pattern in each of the larger squares and just quilt in the ditch for the rest of it. I love the look of it, though, and think you can get by with not too much quilting on it, actually.

Hi Jackie,

I love those fabrics too! Very pretty!
I agree with Betty or you can mark some quilting design in the middle of the squares and then fill up between.

Have fun quilting!

Your runner turned our so cute! I just love it, especially the Xs. If you had not shown the strips in an earlier post, I would wonder how everything went together. You have a wonderful knack for piecing.

How about baptist fans or some other curvy quilting...even curvy lines? Just a thought

I, too, love those fabrics. The colors are so pretty together. Since I don't quilt I won't suggest how to quilt it, but it sounds like your other commenters had some good ideas.

AWWWW Jackie - this is SO wonderful - love the fall colors - it is "MY" colors - of course I know nothing about quilting but the leaf suggestion sounds cool. Can't wait to see the finished runner - YGG Mel

Great table runner, Jackie!!! The colors go together perfectly. I would just simply quilt it along the lines of the blocks, so that all the attention goes to the patchwork pattern and fabric. But then, I don't do other kind of quilting ...

I love that fabric line too and it isn't something I'd normally be drawn to. I think crosshatching would look great on it.

I also love the fabric you chose for your bag!

Hmm maybe for the quilting (love the quilt) I quilt each individual square in a square in about 1/4" from the edges - for the lattace in the middle I would do an all over meandering or doodle in there to make it stand out a bit more...
Love it!

Count me in on the echo quilt the small bits, and some sort of pattern in the large squares. The leaves is a nice idea, or some kind of swirl, roundish geometric flowery thing, or curves of some sort.

Great looking pattern and fabrics. I would just meander all over with fall leaves. I did something like that on a wall hanging and just free handed leaves all over the quilt.

The fabrics are great, and the design is very distinctive.

My suggestions for the quilting would be 2 concentric circles in each square and just 1 straight line down the centre of each of the brown links.

Having said all of that, I would say go with whatever idea popped into your head first when you looked at it.

Since it is so busy, I would do stitch in the ditch!
It is quite lovely!

Looks like you've had some great suggestions, Jackie! Be sure to show us a photo when it's done! What pattern did you use! I just love this line and everything that Sandy Gervais does!
Cheers!
