Ouch!

I'm still reeling from yesterday's vet visit for the pups annual well visit. They needed several shots (ones they get every 3 years) and blood work. Plus Cody needed his liver level tested as it's been a couple of years and we need to make sure he's doing ok. They both need their teeth cleaned ($300 to $400). That on top of yesterday's $713 really hurts. That included their heart work medication, FrontLine, and antibiotics for their teeth cleaning. As you can tell, they also need to be groomed. So I skipped the $6 yard Moda fabric sale at my LQS.

Not much crafting going on here. This week I worked on filing taxes for us and the kids. I also had my last class of the quilting class I'm taking. The last class was mostly discussion of layout options, etc and fabric requirements. Saturday I had WW and got my hair cut and colored and did a bit of shopping for our trip. I also stopped by the yarn shop during the Kids Club. It's nice to see young kids excited and inspired to knit. I've picked up my socks that I'm knitting 2 at a time and I've gotten through the heel, heel turn, and picked up stitches on one side on one and am working on the heel on the other one. I'd wanted to get through this part before flying out next week. We'll see.
We leave one week from today for Arizona. I'm excited that I'll be seeing a part of the country I've never seen before. Let's hope I survive two takeoffs and two landings to get there. I hate to fly so this is going to be a real challenge.

But those faces!! They're saying "Mommy, you don't need any silly cloth or yarn. You can spend *all* your money on us. Now, where are our new toys??"

Your doggies look like they truly appreciate the cost of their care...adorable! Where in Arizona are you going?! I love Arizona...it's one of the most beautiful states I've been in (with the exception of Phoenix, it's quite breath taking). We tried to relocate to Flagstaff before making the move here, but the job didn't work out. Enjoy your trip!

Your babies are adorable - look at those little faces. I often wish we had a vet in the family. I'm sure we could have bought a small country with what we've paid in vet bills over our lifetime.

Have fun in Arizona and load up on the Gravol for the flight.

One thing for sure Jackie - like you, we will forego anything we "want" if it means taking care of Miss Sophie's needs first! Your two little ones are absolutely adorable - they'll sure miss you when you go to Arizona!
Cheers!

The pups look wonderful. But it is hard to ignore the atrocious vet bills.

Hopefully this week will go by quickly for you so your much deserved vacation can start.

Doggies are so cute! I have two dogs and they are sooooo expensive! I'm so glad they won't need to go to college ever! LOL

Flying really does get easier the more you do it. Have fun!

Your doggies look very thankful and oh so sweet! Don't try to think about the flight too much. Take you mp3 player (if you have one) and listen to soothing and relaxing music or an exciting book to listen to. That does lots of good for me.
Socks - great knitting once again! And two at a time.

Cute babies! Good thing they only need those shots every 3-4 years. Too bad we can't add them to our insurance, after all they are part of the family. I'm like you love to travel but the flying scares me. Hope all go well on your trip. Love your blog and seeing all the things you're working on.
